Agent Orange in Our Food – Really!

Distressing news “Lethal Agent Orange GMO’s” receives USDA approval. Society as a whole continues to fall prey to establishments, either government or the ones in bed with them, putting humans and our whole eco system at an overwhelming risk. Disturbingly, the suggestion for deregulation expressed to agriculture bureaucrats by science researchers has perpetually been ignored. The chemicals in question belong to the same family as Agent Orange – Roundup Ready 2 Xtend and Bollgard II XtendFlex. In addition, the Monarch butterflies future as a species has been put at risk by GMO corn pollen.

Agent Orange – Roundup Ready

Disturbingly, the suggestion for deregulation expressed to agriculture bureaucrats by science researchers has perpetually been ignored. The chemicals in question belong to the same family as Agent Orange – Roundup Ready 2 Xtend and Bollgard II XtendFlex. There are two new GMO crops from Monsanto that have an integrated resistance to these deadly chemicals: soybeans and cotton. Recently, the commercial planting of these crops is much closer since the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has declared them safe – may be viewed in their final report released on December 12, 2014, by the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

Food & Water Watch

The following statement was released by the Food & Water Watch (FWW) Executive Director Wenonah Hauter which reads as follows, “Dicamba-tolerant soy and cotton are simply the latest example of USDA’s allegiance to the biotechnology industry and dependence upon chemical solutions. This continues the disturbing trend of more herbicide-tolerant crop approvals taking place.”

Wenonah Hauter continues, “Once again, the USDA has neglected to look at the full range of impacts associated with these GMO herbicide-tolerant crops. Instead the agency has opted for a short-term solution to superweeds that have become resistant to herbicides because of previous approvals of GMOs, thereby perpetuating and escalating chemical use.”

The Food and Water Watch (FWW) are not faring any better at impacting the outcome of this disastrous display of chemical usage. Their comments, “The USDA has ignored pleas from organic farmers and other specialty crop growers asking the agency not to approve these crops that will increase applications of this incredibly drift-prone herbicide. Farmers of nearby non-tolerant crops will pay the price for USDA’s short-term weed management fix in the form of diminished or completely destroyed harvests caused by dicamba drift.”

Reported by Ethan A. Huff, identified as Enlist, the Dow’s brand of Agent Orange produce is shown to be resistant to the chemicals glyphosate and glufosinate. This composite chemical product is known as a broad spectrum herbicide connected to intestinal gut diseases and disorders and interferes with the endocrine system. Some how the Dow ArgoSciences has surmounted a major obstacle in getting 2.4-D-tolerant soybeans and corn approved.

Monarch Butterfly is at Risk

Studies performed at Cornell University have indicated devastating effects to the Monarch butterflies future. The GMO affected pollen destroyed nearly half of the larvae that fed on the milkweed, whereas those who fed on milkweed leaves without the GMO corn pollen survived. The threat is over time how their environment will systematically be affected which will impact their longevity as a species. Researchers directing these studies: John E. Losey, Linda S. Rayor and Maureen E. Carter.

Economically, the US growers of GMO corn being shipped to China – one of their main supporters – have refused their product into the country.

Throwing off Chemicals: Liver and Antioxidants are Key

All greens assist Phase 1 detoxification in the liver which deals with the first wave of toxic matter to be discarded. Eat your greens and juice them. Also, juice vegetable combinations that include carrots and beets with greens for high levels of antioxidants and nutrients that support the liver and repair the body’s cells.

The next Phase of protection is the stored up amounts of Glutathione in the liver. Glutathione occupies the cells of the body but is concentrated in the liver for extra protection against major threats to the body, particularly in the area of toxicity where actually harm could involve the liver itself.

Several natural compounds raise glutathione in the liver. Some of these include milk thistle, vitamin C, glutathione supplement, barberry, rosemary, licorice, ginger, curcumin, dandelion, garlic, sage tea and Oregon grape root. Be sure to supplement with omega 3 fats such as fish oil and flax seed oil.
